Checking off the bucket list...with Garth! -
This was not the post I had planned for this week simply…. back to normal later this week. This was merely also exciting!
So, everyone has a bucket list right? Things they want to practise in life. I know people who desire to travel the earth, climb mountains, swim oceans, run marathons. My list never had whatsoever of those things. For as long as I can remember I had a few things on my listing.
- Be a teacher – check
- Get married – check
- Be a mommy – bank check (twice!)
- See Garth Brooks in concert
Yep that'due south it people. Some may say it'south pathetic how short a list it is. But, I have no interest in climbing a mountain or running a marathon or swimming an body of water. I wanted a family unit and to teach. And I have been blest to get to check those things off my list already. Which left only i thing left… See Garth Brooks in concert. And, cheers to my wonderful fiddling sister, I tin now check that off the list also!!
I call up getting my first Garth Brooks CD (aye CD) for my 12th birthday. I loved him from and then on. Like, I remember my mom asking if I had whatsoever other CDs I could possibly play. (That happened a lot back then.) Only e'er since then, I have been dying to see him in concert. Of grade, dorsum so is when he went into retirement and started performing just in Vegas. So I pretty much came to terms that I wouldn't go to see him.
Then, he announced his World Tour, and he came to Phoenix, and my amazing sister surprised me with tickets as an early on…dare I say information technology…30th (bleh yuck) altogether present. (Ok, nosotros will discuss the whole me turning xxx affair subsequently. Much afterwards) I cried. Aye, not aback to say information technology, I cried when she told me. My mom even wanted to be on Facetime when my sister told me and so she could see me cry, because they all knew I would.
The concert was last night and it was, to say the least, Amazing! He performed all the quondam stuff, the all-time stuff. And Trisha Yearwood came out and sang her best (American Daughter!). Everything I could take ever wanted. I'm still on a loftier from seeing the concert. I'm tired, I recall my easily may be bruised from all the clapping, and my vocalization is hoarse from all the screaming and singing! Merely, wow, it was astonishing. All-time present ever. Thanks Sissy!!
I promise I have fun tutorial for later this week! I'm just still coming down off my Garth high. Have a not bad week!
Merely as e'er…for your amusement…
So recently Koa has picked up two phrases. ane. "oh my goodness!" 2. "Sharing is caring." While I appreciate both, this child needs to realize he is only 3 and isn't supposed to sympathize how to utilise them, let alone utilise them to manipulate a situation to his own do good. Yeah, he'due south a fun kid.
We were making this banana bread this morn, and he was "helping" (of class.) I was calculation chocolate chips, and he asked for some. Then, I gave him a few.
Koa: Mommy? Can I have more chocolate fries?
Me: No, nosotros are putting them in the staff of life. And you already had some.
Koa: Pwweeeeasssee?
Me: No, but await for the bread.
Koa: Oh my goodness! Pwease Mommy? (The kid does not surrender)
Me: No.
Koa: Mooommmmy! Sharing is caring!
Me: silence… yep that was a drop the mic moment.
Did I requite him more than chocolate chips you ask? Well, wouldn't you?
